Putin In Conversation With Macron Rejected Ceasefire: Two Scenarios Await Ukraine

The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation voiced options.

French President Emmanuel Macron called Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky after his conversation with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and informed him about the details of the conversation with the Kremlin chief. This was reported by Bloomberg, citing its own sources.

French President Emmanuel Macron and Vladimir Putin had their first phone conversation since 2022, during which they agreed to coordinate action on Iran.

In addition, following the conversation, Macron told Zelensky that Putin's views on ending the war remain unchanged - he is still not ready for a ceasefire.

The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Andrey Kovalenko, commenting on the Russian leadership's rejection of the U.S. idea of a ceasefire noted that in the future there are only 2 options for the development of events.

"The options are simple - either the West acts tough and will save Europe from the invasion of Russian-Kndrov troops in the Baltic States in 4-6 years and through force will break the back of Russia with us. Or we can continue to pretend that there is some kind of umbrella for NATO, which is technologically already beginning to lag behind modern warfare," the official points out in a note in Telegram.

Kovalenko added that unfortunately, hostilities will continue both this year and next.

"This is the reality," he summarized.
