Iran Has Finally Broken Off Cooperation With The IAEA

The president of the country approved the law.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has officially approved the law on suspending cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Earlier, the relevant bill was approved by the country's parliament.

It was reported by Mehr News.

According to media reports, on July 2, Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian enacted a law on suspending cooperation with the IAEA, which was approved by Iran's parliament last week. The bill was also supported by Iran's Council of Constitutional Guardians.

The IAEA inspectors will no longer be allowed to enter Iran without the approval of the Supreme National Security Council. Tehran is also considering imposing a personal entry ban on the head of the agency, Rafael Grossi, who is accused of "promoting the aggressive policies of the United States and Israel."

Politico previously reported that Iran has decided to ban the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, from visiting the country's nuclear facilities.
