Media: Melania Pressured Trump To Support Ukraine

A U.S. congressman spoke about the role of the U.S. president's wife.

U.S. First Lady Melania Trump influenced the change of Donald Trump's position on Russia in the war against Ukraine. U.S. House of Representatives member Don Bacon said this in a interview with NewsNation's The Hill Sunday program.

"Well, I'm glad that the president has turned toward Ukraine. I think we have Melania to thank for that. Even the president said his wife reminds him every day," Bacon said.

The Times earlier claimed that Melania Trump played a role in her spouse's decision to resume military supplies to Ukraine. The US may soon decide to transfer not only Patriot systems, but also tactical missiles and artillery ammunition to allies for Ukraine.
