Police officers came to the office of the editorial office of the propaganda TV channel Baza with a search. Police and riot police also "visited" the apartment of the editor-in-chief of the publication Gleb Trifonov, journalists of Baza reported. According to them, there is no communication with Trifonov at the moment - he was taken away in an unknown direction. The publication's employees, who are in the office, have also stopped contacting him. "The essence of the police claims is still unknown. It may be about the initiation of some kind of criminal case in one of the Russian regions," they noted.
With the background of searches of the office of the Telegram channel, the Investigative Committee of Russia (ICR) reported that a case of abuse of power by police officers has been opened in Moscow. "Facts of illegal transfer of restricted access information have been revealed. Subsequently, the specified information was published on one of the channels of messenger Telegram", - stated in the message of the agency. The Investigative Committee noted that within the framework of the case searches were conducted in the capital, Krasnodar and Krasnoyarsk Krai, as well as in the Belgorod region. According to RBC's source in the law enforcement agencies, the searches in the Baza editorial office are taking place within the framework of the criminal case initiated by the Investigative Committee.
