Ukraine Used The Powerful Altius 600M Drone In A Night Combat Mission

The first footage of the strike on Russian equipment has appeared.
US defense company Anduril Industries has released the first official photos of the Altius 600M kamikaze drone's combat mission. The drone struck Russian equipment at night.
"Altius-600M launched on a night combat mission to destroy enemy equipment," the company said in a publication.
The report does not specify the operating country, but it is known that the only country that has ordered and uses these UAVs in combat conditions is Ukraine.
The delivery of Altius 600M and heavier Altius 700M drones was funded by the UK government in March 2024. The total value of the contracts awarded amounted to 30 million pounds sterling. The Ukrainian army received not only the aircraft, but also launchers and spare parts.
Features of the Altius 600M and 700M drones
The Altius 600M drone weighs about 12 kilograms and is capable of carrying up to 3 kilograms of payload, ranging from combat parts to powerful optronic stations and REB equipment. It has a modular design and is launched from a transport and launch container with pneumatic ejection. After launch, the 2.54 m wingspan is automatically deployed and the tail propeller engine is engaged.
The device can fly along a programmed route or be controlled by an operator from the ground. It has a range of up to 440 kilometers and a duration of up to 4 hours.
Altius 700M is a more powerful version designed for strike missions. It is capable of carrying a warhead weighing up to 15 kilograms. The barrage time is up to 75 minutes and the range is about 160 kilometers.
