U.S. At UN Harshly Reminded Russia Of Trump's Ultimatum

There will be further action.

The United States at the UN reminded the Kremlin of the need to end the war in Ukraine within 50 days and criticized China for helping Russia's defense sector.

Acting U.S. Permanent Representative to the UN Dorothy Shea said this, RBC-Ukraine referring to the UN Security Council meeting on Friday, July 25.

The American ambassador noted that Russia continues to kill Ukrainian civilians. She said Russian drones and missiles are attacking schools, playgrounds, apartment buildings and nursing homes.

Shea also noted that Russia has deployed thousands of DPRK military personnel to the front lines and sent tens of thousands of Russian soldiers "to die on the battlefield."

The U.S. ambassador recalled that on July 14, Trump warned Russian President Vladimir Putin to negotiate peace with Ukraine within 50 days.

"If Russia does not agree to stop the attacks within that time frame, the United States is prepared to take further action," she emphasized.

The ambassador recalled that the UN Security Council more than 100 days ago approved a resolution calling for a quick end to the war and a lasting peace in Ukraine.

"And while this has facilitated negotiations in Saudi Arabia and Istanbul, progress falls far short of the action needed for peace," the U.S. representative said.

Criticism of China

The ambassador also criticized China for continuing to export dual-use goods to Russia that help the Russian army manufacture weapons and attack peaceful cities in Ukraine.

"Beijing's statement about imposing strict controls on the export of dual-use goods simply falls apart amid the daily discovery of Chinese-made components in drones, weapons and vehicles that Russia is using against Ukraine," Shi said.

Trump's ultimatum

Last week, US President Donald Trump accused Russian dictator Vladimir Putin of lying and unwillingness to end the war, and gave 50 days to conclude a peace deal with Ukraine.
