Peskov came up with another response - a "medical" one.

Kremlin chief spokesman Dmitri Peskov said Russia continues to monitor US President Donald Trump's statements on sanctions against Moscow, but Russia has "acquired immunity" to such measures thanks to years of experience.

His words were quoted by Reuters.

It is known that earlier this week Trump said the US would start imposing duties and other measures against Russia in 10 days if Moscow did not show progress in ending the war in Ukraine.

The Kremlin said that Russia has been "living under a huge number of sanctions for quite a long time" and the country's economy has been "operating under significant restrictions."

"Therefore, of course, we have already developed a certain immunity in this matter and continue to monitor all statements by President Trump and other international representatives on this issue," Peskov said.
