During the night attack on Kiev on July 31, Kiev resident Veronika survived after she was thrown from the ninth floor of a house by a blast wave. Now the girl is in the hospital, reports TSN.
Veronika assumes: because she was thrown together with the bed by the blast wave, she only suffered a broken leg. The girl also lost a tooth.
The girl added that she was conscious at the time of the fall. According to her, she was just sleepy and did not realize what was happening.
]2Heard an explosion, and a second later - on the ground. I don't know how that's even possible. How could you fly nine stories and just be left with a broken leg? Most likely, I was sitting on the bed and just fell with it and because of that I didn't hit because the bed is soft," Veronica said.
What happened to her parents, Veronica still doesn't know, the story said.
"I don't know what's wrong with my father, what's wrong with my mother. I don't know where they are, what's with them," the girl noted.
As of 5 p.m., according to the National Police of Ukraine in Telegram, the number of victims and wounded as a result of the missile strike on the capital has increased. Now it is known about 11 dead and 93 injured.
In Svyatoshinsky district eight people were killed - all of them residents of the destroyed entrance of a nine-story building, law enforcers specified. Among those killed by Russia is a six-year-old boy who died on the way to the hospital. Rescuers also unblocked the bodies of a man and a woman, their identities are being established.
In Kiev, August 1 has been declared a day of mourning for those killed in today's Russian attack, the mayor Vitali Klitschko said in Telegram.
On this day, flags on all communal buildings in the capital will be lowered. Any entertainment events on this day are forbidden.
