After Three Strikes, Russia 'lost' Crimean Bridge For Military Purposes

As a result of three successful SBU operations to strike the Crimean bridge during 2022-2025, the structure became practically "emergency". Now the bridge functions with significant restrictions that do not allow trucks over 5 tons to move here, and no military logistics are carried out by the enemy through the structure. All three operations were successful and had their own subtleties.
The strikes on the Crimean bridge became one of the "calling cards" of hundreds of operations of the Ukrainian security services carried out during the full-scale war. The details were told by the head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Malyuk in an interview with the channel "We are Ukraine".
At the conversation, a journalist of the channel asked the head of the SBU about the operations that were successfully implemented against Russia. Vasily Malyuk recalled separately about the operation "Web", for which the security services had to create a fictitious company in Chelyabinsk.
Continuing the conversation, Malyuk also recalled three strikes on the Crimean bridge, the first of which was realized in October 2022.
"In fact, there are hundreds of realizations and each of them is worthy of respect and it is worthy of attention. But if, well... You can call it a certain kind of calling card, then yes, indeed, the Crimean Bridge. Especially the first strike, that was October 8, 2022. It was Putler's (Putin's - ed.) 70th birthday. And it was then that we made him an appropriate gift," said Malyuk.
The head of the SBU recalled the morning of the day when the first strike was realized. Part of the roadbed of the structure was in the water, and nearby, on the railroad tracks, tanks with fuel were blazing. This operation Vasily Malyuk called "mega-successful".
The continuation of the operation of strikes on the Crimean bridge was the second attack, realized in 2023. Then the special services managed to sneak in not from land, but from the sea.
"Well, however, it was not the only strike on the Crimean bridge. A year later, in 2023, we already entered not from land, but from the sea," Malyuk noted.
The second attack was realized with the help of two surface drones. It was realized thanks to the team of the 13th Main Directorate of the Department of Military Counterintelligence, as well as General Hunter - a twin of the head of the SBU, as noted by Malyuk himself.
The third attack on the Crimean Bridge took place in 2025. This operation also had its own peculiarities, because the special services approached the structure under water.
"I will not tell you all the details, but we came in from land, we came in on the water mirror. And in 2025, we went in underwater. There were two strikes, each had a ton of one hundred in TNT equivalent," the SBU head shared.
Strikes on the Crimean bridge: what are the consequences of the SBU operations
Three strikes on the Crimean bridge had their results: Vasyl Malyuk claims that they were successful. As a consequence - serious damage to the supports of the structure, the so-called "bulls". After that, the Crimean bridge is functioning in a limited mode, in particular, no more than 5 tons of trucks move across it, and no military logistics of the enemy.

When asked by the journalist whether to expect a fourth strike on the Crimean bridge, Vasily Malyuk did not answer. However, he added that the special services are carrying out many other operations in the fight against the enemy.
