Zelensky: I Told The US President That Putin Is Bluffing
Vladimir Zelensky

The Russian dictator is trying to give the impression that he is capable of occupying all of Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky warned during an online meeting with United States President Donald Trump and European leaders that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is misleading everyone. He said this at a joint press conference with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.

"I told the US president and European leaders that Putin is bluffing. He is trying to press on the whole front before the meeting in Alaska and portray that he can occupy the whole of Ukraine," Zelensky said.

He noted that Russia has a certain advantage in weaponry, but it is leveled by heavy losses.

"Russia does have several times more weapons, in particular, three times more artillery, but Russia also has three times more losses, and this is a fact," he said.

Zelensky added that the claim that sanctions are not hurting the Russian economy is also deceptive.

"Putin is also bluffing, saying that he doesn't care about sanctions, that they don't work. In fact, sanctions help a lot, they hit the Russian war economy," the president said.

Zelensky urged partners to impose additional sanctions against Russia.

"We need further pressure for the sake of peace. Together, our alliance of partners can really stop Putin's war," he said.
