No restrictions on the AFU and the possibility of joining the EU and NATO.
"The "Coalition of the resolute" is against the AFU having any restrictions in a future peace deal between Russia and Ukraine. Also, Moscow should not have a veto on Ukraine's path to the EU and NATO.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a statement published on the British government's website.
They noted that a virtual meeting took place between the "Coalition of the resolute" - involving Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and US Vice President J.D. Vance, as well as US President Donald Trump.
The leaders of France, Germany and Britain applauded President Trump's efforts to end the killing and war waged by Russia and to achieve a just and lasting peace.
"They (the leaders - ed.) made clear that the path to peace in Ukraine cannot be resolved without Ukraine's participation. An approach combining active diplomacy, support for Ukraine and pressure on Russia must continue," the statement said.
"The Resolute Coalition emphasized that a diplomatic solution must protect the vital interests of both Ukraine's security and Europe's security."
The leaders also reiterated a number of key demands that there must be a resolution to the Russia-Ukraine war.
First, meaningful negotiations can only take place in the context of a ceasefire or a prolonged and significant cessation of hostilities.
Second, sanctions and broader economic measures on Russia's war economy must be strengthened. This should be the case if Moscow does not agree to a ceasefire during the Alaska talks.
Third, the "Coalition of the Resolute" emphasized that international borders should not be changed by force.
And the fourth point deals with security. In particular, Ukraine must have credible and credible security guarantees to effectively defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Coalition emphasized that it is ready to play an active role, including under the plans of those willing to deploy support forces in the country after the cessation of hostilities
"There should be no restrictions on Ukraine's armed forces or its cooperation with third countries. Russia cannot have a veto on Ukraine's path to EU and NATO membership," the statement said.
The Resolute Coalition also reiterated that it will continue to work closely with Trump as well as Zelensky and the Ukrainian people "for a just and lasting peace in Ukraine."
