Budanov Named Three Countries With Experience In Large Modern Warfare

There are only three countries in the world that can boast experience in waging modern warfare on a broad front using almost all means. Among them are Ukraine, Russia and North Korea, which is now actively practicing its combat skills.

The head of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's GUR, Kirill Budanov, told The Japan Times.

"Now there are only three countries in the world that have experience in waging modern warfare on a very broad front using virtually all available means - they are Ukraine, Russia and North Korea," Budanov emphasized.

He noted that Russia generously finances the participation of North Korean troops in the war against Ukraine.

"The Kremlin pays for all the military equipment and troops. We are talking about tens of billions of dollars, and for the economy of North Korea, one of the most isolated in the world, this is very serious money," the Ukrainian intelligence chief said.

Budanov also emphasized that this partnership is not limited to the war in Ukraine and has a much broader geopolitical dimension.

"We constantly emphasize that cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang poses a threat not only to Ukraine," he added.
