Russians Lose Su-30SM Fighter Jet Near Zmeinoye

The wreckage of a Russian fighter jet has been found on the surface of the sea.

Russia may have lost its Su-30SM fighter jet, which was performing tasks in the Black Sea. This was reported by the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The AFU Navy's reconnaissance means received a radio intercept about the loss of communication with the occupants' Su-30SM aircraft, which was performing tasks southeast of Zmeiny Island.

The fighter jet probably went down for unspecified reasons.

The Navy specified that the occupants were conducting a search and rescue operation. According to preliminary information, wreckage of the plane was found on the sea surface.

The pilots have not been found yet.
