Zelensky Discussed "shock Therapy" For Ukraine With Argentine President

Ukraine is interested in learning from Argentina's experience in deregulation and overcoming inflation.

This is reported by Charter97.org with reference to Telegram of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

According to Zelensky, today he had a conversation with Argentine President Javier Miley.

"Of course, talked about the situation in diplomacy. Informed about recent contacts with partners. I emphasized that our position is absolutely clear: Ukraine needs honest peace and reliable security guarantees. Javier is ready to make personal efforts," - said the President.

The Presidents also discussed Argentina's economic successes, primarily deregulation and overcoming inflation.

"I congratulated Javier on these important results. Ukraine is interested in studying such experience. We discussed the relevant opportunity," Zelensky noted.

He added that now relations between Ukraine and Argentina are reaching a really high level.

"We talked about it in detail. Technology, economy, agricultural industry - there are many areas for potential cooperation. We also agreed to restore the format of political consultations between the foreign ministries of our countries. The teams will actively work to ensure that they take place in the near future," the President noted.

Zelensky also thanked the President of Argentina for participation in the International Coalition for the return of Ukrainian children.

"We will work together with all partners to ensure that all Ukrainian children return home as soon as possible. We have agreed on our next contacts. I will be glad to see Javier in Ukraine," he added.

It should be noted that the "shock therapy" in the context of the economy, proposed by Miley, refers to a set of radical economic reforms aimed at a rapid transition to a free market.

These reforms often include price liberalization, cuts in government spending, privatization, and reduced regulation.

At the same time, "shock therapy" can have a significant impact on society and the economy, often causing social disruption and economic hardship in the initial stages.
