Trump Called The Meeting More Important Than Talks With Putin

The U.S. and Russian leaders will meet on August 15.

American President Donald Trump has said that the planned meeting between the leaders of the United States, Ukraine and Russia will be more important than tomorrow's meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. He said this while speaking to reporters at the White House.

"Tomorrow we have a meeting with Putin. But the more important meeting will be between Putin, Zelensky and me. Maybe we will invite some European leaders, maybe not," Trump said. The speech was broadcast by the White House.

The meeting between the presidents of Russia and the United States is scheduled for August 15. The talks between the heads of state will be held at the Elmendorf-Richardson Joint Military Base in Anchorage.
