On the eve of the summit between US Presidents Donald Trump and Russia's Vladimir Putin, a large rally in support of Ukraine is taking place in the city of Anchorage.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to former Voice of America correspondent Ostap Yarysh on social network X.
In particular, he released a video of the protesters' activity.
"Ukraine and Alaska - never again in Russia," the protesters chanted.

Alaska Without Dictators
The head of the Stand Up Alaska Erin Jackson-Hill community organization earlier told Ukrinform that she and her like-minded friends would hold a rally in downtown Anchorage on August 14 under the slogan "Alaska Supports Ukraine."

"We are against authoritarian dictators being invited to our state, especially if it's not by our governor or our representatives in Congress. He (Putin. - ed.) is a war criminal and has no place on American soil," Jackson Hill noted.
In the meantime, local police are actively stepping up security measures amid demonstrations in the city and bringing in additional officers for law enforcement.
