The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to reduce the ability of the aggressor state to continue the war against our state. On August 14, soldiers of the Special Operations Forces in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces struck the port of Olya in the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation.

A cargo ship carrying components for Shahed-type UAVs and ammunition from Iran was hit. This was reported in the General Staff of the AFU.

What is known

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the defeat of another important object for the enemy on the morning of August 15.

"Within the framework of reducing the enemy's ability to carry out air strikes, on August 14, units of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces, carried out a fire defeat of the seaport "Olya" (Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation). This facility is used by the Russian aggressor as an important logistical point for the delivery of military goods from Iran," the report said.

The General Staff added that the Port Olya 4 vessel was hit: it was loaded with components for Shahed-type UAVs and ammunition from Iran.

"The results of the hit are being clarified. The defense forces continue to take measures to undermine the military potential of the Russian occupiers and force Russia to stop its armed aggression against Ukraine," the Ukrainian military command summarized.
