An AFU Sniper Near Pokrovskoye Made A Historic Shot

No one in the world has ever done that before.

A military man of the AFU, journalist Yury Butusov released footage of a unique shot made on the Pokrovsky direction of defense. According to him, on August 14, 2025, a Ukrainian sniper killed two Russian occupants from an incredible distance of 4,000 meters. The bullet entered directly into the window of the building, behind which the enemies were hiding.

Butusov published the video on his channel inTelegram, writes dialog.ua.

The hit was achieved with the help of artificial intelligence, under the control of a complex of drones. The shot was fired from a sniper rifle of 14.5 mm Aligator caliber.

The record hit occurred in the area of responsibility of the "Donetsk" DTU at the border of Pokrovsk - Mirnograd. Here operates a combined sniper unit "Privid", consisting of eight platoons, which perform special tasks as part of the units of the Ground Forces of Ukraine.

The effectiveness of this group is impressive: only for the last year of defense of this direction snipers killed almost a thousand Russian military.

It is noted that the previous world record also belonged to a Ukrainian fighter. In November 2023 in the Kherson region, SBU sniper Vyacheslav Kovalsky, who was 58 years old at the time, hit the enemy from a distance of 3800 meters. A Ukrainian-made Horizon's Lord multi-caliber rifle was used then.
