Tusk On Day Of Alaska Talks Recalled How Poland Defeated 'invincible' Russia
Donald Tusk

Poles today mark the anniversary of the "Miracle on the Vistula".

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk on the occasion of the anniversary of the "Miracle on the Vistula" in 1920, when the Polish army together with the Ukrainians stopped the Bolsheviks near Warsaw, reminded that Russia is not invincible.

The message he published in his X.

Tusk, amid an expected meeting of Russian and US leaders in Alaska, reminded that Russia is not invincible, and Poland has already proved it in the past.

"August 15 is a good day for negotiations with Russia on war and peace. On this day 105 years ago, during the Battle of Warsaw, the Poles stopped the Red Army's march on Europe. Fortunately, we didn't know that Russia was "invincible" - and we defeated them. Peace through strength and nothing more," the Polish prime minister wrote.

The country's new president Karol Nawrocki in a statement on the occasion of the anniversary of the Battle of Warsaw recalled the Ukrainians' contribution to that victory and emphasized that Russian imperialism was and remains a threat to Poland.
