Biotechnologists ignored Lukashenko's decree and waited until the pandemic was over.
Lukashenko held a meeting on the development of biopharmaceuticals, where the issues of development of the BelVitunipharm enterprise - it was supposed to produce Belarusian vaccine against coronavirus - were raised.
What is now with this project? Some details were told in the press service of the usurper.
Lukashenko asked how the fulfillment of his decree № 430 (the very investment project to create vaccine preparations) was being implemented.
"You insisted on it, I agreed, signed the decree. If it is not implemented, why, who will answer? And to come to me once again and pretend that you have nothing to do with it and someone has not implemented this decree will not work. They report to me that the main problem is the so-called package of investment projects, which are in different degrees of readiness," said the dictator.
In particular, he noted that the production complex, which would be engaged in the production of vaccines, has not been completed. And the expensive equipment is idle.
He demanded from the officials to decide how to proceed with this project: to complete it on their own or to attract investors.
According to Lukashenko's decree № 430, the investment project to produce coronavirus vaccine at BelVitunipharm was to be completed by 2023.
We recall that in the fall of 2020, at the height of the coronavirus pandemic, Alexander Lukashenko demanded to create a Belarusian vaccine "as soon as possible.
