A Meeting Between Trump And Putin Has Begun In Alaska

The negotiations began in a three-on-three format.

A meeting between Russia's dictator Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump has begun in Alaska. The talks are dedicated to discussing options for a long-term peaceful settlement of Russia's war in Ukraine.

The meeting between the two leaders is taking place in the city of Anchorage, Alaska. Due to the summit, flight restrictions have been imposed over the city until August 16.

This is the first meeting between Russian and US presidents in four years and the first meeting between Trump and Putin in six years. Putin and Trump met six times during Trump's first term. Their first full summit was held on July 16, 2018 in Helsinki.
