Senator Graham: The War In Ukraine Will Be Over Before Christmas

But there is one condition.

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham has predicted that the Russia-Ukraine war could end before Christmas, but only if there is a trilateral meeting between US President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

"Make no mistake, this war is Putin's war of aggression against Ukraine. However, I have always said that Ukraine will not kick out all Russian soldiers and Putin will not take over Kiev," Graham was quoted as saying by The Hill.

He emphasized that the key to ending this war with dignity and justice is to create the "deterrence infrastructure" that Biden and Obama failed to create to prevent another Russian invasion.

"If the trilateral meeting between President Trump, President Zelensky and Putin does take place, I am cautiously optimistic that this war will be over well before Christmas," Graham predicted.

He also suggested that if a potential trilateral meeting does not take place, Trump "may have to go all-in to punish those who buy cheap Russian oil and gas while supporting Putin's war machine."

He also predicted that a land swap would likely be part of any brokered deal.

"There will be a land swap. It's impossible to evict all the Russians, but the Ukrainians will make that deal, not the United States. Ukraine will make this deal and Trump will end this war. I have never been as optimistic as I am now," he stated.
