Trump Names Condition For Inviting Putin To Trilateral Meeting

Much depends on the US President's negotiations with Zelensky.

US President Donald Trump has promised to schedule a meeting with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin if talks with Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky on August 18 are successful.

"President Zelensky will be in Washington, D.C., in the Oval Office on Monday afternoon," Trump said on Truth Social.

"President Zelensky will arrive in Washington, D.C., in the Oval Office. If all goes well, we will schedule a meeting with President Putin," he said.

Trump believes that such a meeting could "save the lives of millions of people."

Remember, on the way from Alaska to Washington, Donald Trump held phone conversations with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and leaders of NATO countries. He spoke about the result of his meeting with Putin.

Zelensky said he would travel to Washington on Monday, August 18, to discuss the details of ending the war with Trump.
