The March That Became The "wonder Of The World."

August 16, 2020, the most massive demonstration in the history of Belarus took place in Minsk.

Brutality of law enforcers (on the verge of sadism and torture) against the protesters against the falsification of the presidential election results on August 9, 2020 caused a storm of indignation in the Belarusian society, writes "Salidarnasts".

In response to the lawlessness of law enforcers, hundreds of thousands of people came out to the Freedom March on August 16 in Minsk. Thousands of columns flocked from the suburbs to the stele. The authorities and law enforcers, dumbfounded by the reaction of the society, did not even try to prevent the demonstrators - OMON was removed from the streets.

A festive mood prevailed at the march, it was hard not to give in to euphoria. Belarusians chanted, "Go away, you're fired!".

Analysts tried to keep their heads cool: the most massive demonstration in the history of Belarus did not lead to practical results. The country's drama was expressed in Lukashenko's words at the MZKT the next day: "Unless you kill me, there will be no other elections."
