Zelensky In Conversation With Trump Refused To Surrender Donbass

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, in a conversation with US President Donald Trump and European leaders, rejected an "offer" to give up the entire Donetsk region to freeze most front lines, Reuters reported.

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Saturday that Ukraine should strike a deal to end its war with Russia because "Russia is a very big state and they are not," following a summit where Vladimir Putin reportedly demanded more Ukrainian land.

In a subsequent briefing with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, a source familiar with the discussion said Trump offered to freeze most of the front lines if Kiev forces gave up all of Donetsk Oblast, an industrial region that is one of Moscow's main targets.

The source said Zelensky rejected the demand.
