A fire started at the Unecha station.

On August 13, explosions were heard at a Russian oil pumping station near the town of Unecha in Russia's Bryansk region. NASA satellites recorded a significant fire on the territory of the Unecha oil pumping station, which is an important part of the Druzhba oil pipeline infrastructure.

Sources NV reported that the explosions were the result of a UAV attack organized by Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate.

On August 16, NV gained access to satellite images that make it possible to assess the consequences of the strike. Despite the low quality of the images, the footage shows signs of a significant fire, particularly near one of the hulls. Comparison with the images before the attack shows that one of the buildings and a number of infrastructure facilities were hit: pipes and pumping stations nearby. It is likely that this is where the fire started after the hit.

On August 13, the governor of Russia's Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, claimed that local air defense forces shot down 12 airplane-type drones over the region overnight. Local residents reported an attack on the Unecha station. According to RosSMI, it was the second UAV attack on the station in a week.

The same day, the publication's sources reported that the oil pumping station of the Transneft Druzhba pipeline in the town of Unecha was attacked by GUR drones.

"GNPS Unecha is responsible for pumping oil products through the Druzhba pipeline. This project is one of the key export projects of Russia's oil and gas industry, bringing the aggressor country a large financial profit.
