The new commander of the 13th brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine "Charter" is Daniel "Kuba" Kitone.

It is reported in a statement of the brigade in the social network X.

What is known about him

He has been fighting in key areas since the first days of the full-scale invasion and has considerable combat experience.

Kitone Daniel Vincentovich was born on August 27, 1983 in Simferopol and spent most of his life in Kharkiv.

In 2006, he graduated from the Kharkiv Aviation Institute. After the beginning of the Russian invasion he joined the 127th separate brigade of the TRO and participated in the Slobozhansky counter-offensive and the battles for Bakhmut.

Subsequently, he commanded a reconnaissance platoon, and since August 2023 - a reconnaissance company.

After the creation of the 13th brigade of the NSU "Charter" joined the unit, where he successively held command positions: from deputy battalion commander to commander of the 2nd battalion.

In July 2025, he was appointed commander of the entire brigade.

For his service, Kitone received a number of distinctions and state awards, including the Order for Courage, 3rd degree, Order of Bogdan Khmelnitsky, 3rd degree, "Steel Cross" of the Commander-in-Chief of the AFU and other honorary awards.
