Russia Has Lost A Bridgehead In Donbass

The Ukrainian armed forces cut off the Russians from the main forces.

The armed forces of Ukraine have achieved successes in the area of Dobropillya, where the 1st Corps of the National Guard is operating. This is stated in a report by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

Citing data from military observer Konstantin Mashovets, Tregubov and other experts, the analysts note that Ukrainian units have eliminated the Russian performance in this direction, isolating enemy units from the main forces. In fact, this performance has already been liquidated, and the remnants of the enemy are being mopped up in nearby villages.

Although Russian troops now hold only a small section of the front about 2.5 kilometers wide, their reports increasingly mention the Rodinskoye settlement, located south of Dobropillya.

ISW notes: there are signs that the occupiers are trying to turn the tactical advance of small groups around Dobropillya into a larger-scale breakthrough.

According to the General Staff, 186 military clashes took place over the past 24 hours. Russian troops launched two missile and 78 air strikes, used four missiles and 162 guided bombs. In addition, 5,489 kamikaze drones were fired at Ukraine and 5,350 artillery attacks were carried out, including 86 from MLRS.

The fiercest fighting continues in the Pokrovsk direction, where the Ukrainian defenders repelled 67 attacks near the settlements of Dorozhnoye, Fedorovka, Nikanorovka, Mayak, Rodinskoye, Luch, Pokrovsk and a number of others.

The enemy is also active in the Novopavlovsk direction (29 assaults) and in the Limansk direction (26 attacks). In addition, battles took place in the North Slobozhansky, Kursk, South Slobozhansky, Kupyansky, Seversky, Kramatorsky, Toretsky, Orekhovsky and Prydniprovsky directions. The day passed without any offensive actions in the Gulyaypilskyi section.
