Massive Drone Strike On Russia: Oil Refinery, Strategic Plant And Military Airfields On Fire

Several regions and occupied Crimea were attacked at once.

The night of Saturday, August 2, was turbulent in occupied Crimea and several regions of the aggressor country Russia. They were attacked by drones, which enemy air defense tried to work on, it is known about hits that resulted in fires.

Portal OBOZ.UA collected currently available information about the attack and its consequences.

Many drones flew to Ryazan. Local blogs wrote about UAVs flying over and explosions, while eyewitnesses published online footage of fires that broke out as a result of the hits.

It is known about a fire on the territory of a refinery. Also, according to RosSMI, it was loud near the airbase "Dyagilevo".

The Voronezh region also heard powerful explosions. The fire is tentatively known to be the result of Russian air defense.

In Lipetsk, locals reported an attack on a military airfield.

Not far from Samara, drones attacked the Novokuibyshevsk refinery. The moment of the drone's arrival, after which a fiery "mushroom" rose above the plant, was captured on video by Russians.

And in Penza, UAVs hit the Elektropribor plant, which is important for the Russian military-industrial complex. Local authorities said there was a fatality and two injured. Propagandists, however, insist: all the drones were "destroyed."

Explosions in Crimea

Feodosia was under attack by UAVs for several hours, explosions were heard. After them, a fire broke out near an oil depot.

Explosions were also heard in Kerch. The Crimean Bridge has been closed since 23:50 on August 1.
