Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has reported the detention of one of the people's deputies due to being caught taking bribes, and certain heads of district and city administrations and members of the Ukrainian National Guard have also been detained.

Zelensky did not name names, but Ukrainian media reported that they were referring to the former head of the Luhansk OVA Serhiy Gaidai, and an MP from the Servant of the People faction Alexei Kuznetsov, who supported the scandalous law stripping the independence of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP), signed and then repealed by Zelensky after protests.

NABU and SAP wrote that it is about a corruption scheme in the purchase of drones and REB equipment. According to the agency, contracts for the purchase of drones and REBs were concluded with a margin of up to 30%, which was subsequently returned to the defendants in the form of unlawful benefits. Sergei Gaidai is involved in this case, the statement said.
