Sky News: US To Provide Air Cover For Ukraine

Donald Trump intrigued with a statement.

Washington may provide air support to Kiev as part of a potential peace agreement with Russia. At the same time, US troops will not be sent to Ukraine. This was stated by US President Donald Trump.

"When it comes to security, [the Europeans] are willing to put people on the ground. We are willing to help them in some ways, especially probably by air," Trump was quoted by Sky News.

Trump did not comment in detail, but White House spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt told reporters that U.S. air support is "an option and a possibility."

"The president has made clear that U.S. troops will not be in Ukraine, but we can certainly help coordinate and perhaps provide other means of security guarantees to our European allies," Leavitt said.
