A Polish Military Officer Was Wounded On The Border With Belarus

He was trying to interfere with a group of illegal immigrants.

On August 25, a Polish military officer was injured on the Belarusian-Polish border, trying to stop a violation by "a group of aggressive migrants." This was reported by the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces.

The incident occurred during the operation "Safe Podlasie" at about 20.00 in the area of the locality of Cheremha.

"While suppressing an illegal border crossing by a group of aggressive migrants, a soldier of the Podlasie Task Force was injured. During the application of direct coercive measures, he received an injury to his left arm," the agency reports.

The serviceman was given first aid at the scene of the incident. After that, he was taken to the hospital in Bialystok. The serviceman's condition is stable, there is no threat to life.

Military police are investigating the scene.
