An explosion occurred on a tanker of the Russian "shadow fleet" off the coast of Chukotka. Two crew members were injured. This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC).

Russian propagandists assure that there is no oil product spill, trying to downplay the accident. However, this incident speaks about the critical condition of the Russian tanker fleet, the CPD emphasized.

"Under sanctions, Moscow is deprived of access to quality repairs and certified components, so regular accidents have become commonplace. Explosions, fires and spills of oil or toxic substances are a direct consequence of shadow logistics, with the help of which the Kremlin is trying to overcome the sanctions pressure," the report said.
