Military Contingents Of The CSTO Countries Arrive In Belarus

The arrival of military contingents of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) countries in Belarus was announced by the press service of the association, writes "Pozirk".
The contingents will "regroup" in Belarus by August 29 as part of the joint exercises with the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Force "Interaction-2025", "Search-2025" and "Echelon-2025".
The contingents are being sent from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan "to the exercise areas in accordance with the plan," the report said.
It is noted that the Losvido and Lepelsky training grounds (both in the Vitebsk region) will host exercises from August 31 to September 6, "combining the training of various components of the CSTO troops (collective forces)."
The Interaction-2025 exercise is stated to be "aimed at working out the issues of preparing and conducting a joint operation to participate in resolving a crisis situation on the territory of a CSTO member state."
The Search-2025 exercise will "work out the issues of organization and conduct of reconnaissance in the interests of the CSTO FDLR", while the Echelon-2025 exercise will "work out the issues of organization of logistical support".
"The peculiarity of these exercises in 2025 is that the intentions of their conduct are closely linked to the intentions of the joint strategic exercise of the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation "Zapad-2025"," the organization said.
Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff Andrey Serdyukov, speaking at a briefing the day before, "emphasized that the exercises held in the CSTO format are planned, not directed against third countries and are aimed at improving the coherence of command and control bodies and troops, as well as maintaining the readiness of forces and means to perform tasks as intended in the interests of collective security."
