Military exercises will be conducted on land, in the air and at sea.
In September, Poland will host a large-scale military exercise "Iron Defender-25", in which the country's military and NATO allies will take part. This is reported by the press service of the Polish Armed Forces.
According to the agency, the exercise will involve about 34,000 servicemen who will use about 600 pieces of equipment. The exercises will include operations on land, in the air and in the Baltic Sea.
The military plans to, among other things, "apply lessons learned during the war in Ukraine."
The maneuvers will take place both on and off the training grounds, in what it called "unpredictable terrain."
"Troops will move on public roads and railroads, which means that military columns will be deployed in different regions of the country," the Polish Army said.
The department's press service on August 26 urged drivers to be cautious and not to take pictures of the equipment as the columns begin moving.
The Polish Armed Forces said the purpose of the exercise is to "demonstrate readiness for joint defense in the face of modern threats."
"The exercises are not directed against any country, but rather demonstrate the unity and growing capabilities of allies in the region," the ministry said.
A joint Russian-Belarusian military exercise Zapad-25 will be held in Belarus from September 12 to 16.
