Zelensky Appointed New Commander Of Ukraine's Air Force

He became the Hero of Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has appointed Lieutenant General Anatoliy Kryvonozhko as commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian president said in his Telegram channel, publishing a video in which he signs the relevant decree and congratulates Kryvonozhko on his appointment.

"Today appointed Lieutenant General Anatoliy Krivonozhko as commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," reads the publication in Zelensky's Telegram channel.

Anatoliy Krivonozhko has been acting as commander of the Air Force since August 30, 2024. He was born on July 27, 1965.

From 2006 to 2008, he was the commander of the 114 brigade of tactical aviation. Since 2015, he was the commander of the Air Command of the Air Force Center of the AFU. He was also awarded the highest rank - Hero of Ukraine in 2023.
