It Has Become Known How Germany Will Help Ukraine

Berlin is preparing its "security guarantees".

German government circles doubt the need to deploy their troops on the territory of Ukraine and intend to provide security guarantees with money.

The German edition of Bild writes about this on Sunday, August 31.

It is noted that after the summit with US President Donald Trump in Washington on August 18, Germany expressed readiness to send its troops to ensure peace in Ukraine. Now, however, nearly two weeks after the meeting, frustration is mounting as Russian dictator Vladimir Putin seeks to continue the war rather than sit down at the negotiating table. This makes providing security guarantees from Western soldiers a remote prospect, Bild notes.

But even if the aggressor country Russia and Ukraine reach a peace agreement, Germany intends to provide security guarantees financially first. Berlin will cover at least part of the monetary provision of Ukrainian soldiers. The country also intends to continue training Ukrainian fighters.

In addition, arms production in Ukraine will be increased, including in cooperation with German arms companies.
