The former Russian president has published a new militaristic post.
Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitri Medvedev has made another aggressive statement. In social network X, he commented on the Russian Foreign Ministry's recent initiative to lift the moratorium on the deployment of medium- and short-range missiles.
In Medvedev's words, such a decision was allegedly a response to the "anti-Russian policy" of NATO countries. He called the situation a "new reality," which, in his opinion, all the Kremlin's opponents should reckon with.
The former Russian president did not specify what steps Moscow was planning, but hinted that this was just the beginning.
This is Medvedev's first public statement in days after US President Donald Trump harshly put him on the spot. Back then, the former Russian president launched into rhetoric about the nuclear threat to the West, but the White House chief responded just as harshly, saying he had ordered US nuclear forces to be sent closer to Russia's borders.
The Russian Foreign Ministry's statement on the withdrawal of the moratorium on the deployment of medium- and short-range missiles is the result of NATO countries' anti-Russian policy.
This is a new reality all our opponents will have to reckon with. Expect further steps.
