Trump Names His Likely Successor As US President

An alliance between two Republican Party politicians is a possibility.
US President Donald Trump has not ruled out that current Vice President J.D. Vance could be his successor as president.
Trump announced at a White House press conference.
"It's obviously too early to talk about it now, but it's undeniable that he (J.D. Vance - ed.) is doing a great job and would probably be the favorite at this point," Trump said.
The president also confirmed that Vance could team up with Secretary of State Marco Rubio "in one form or another."
Reminder, earlier Secretary of State Marco Rubio did not rule out that in the presidential election in 2028, the Republican candidate could be current US Vice President JD Vance.
At the same time, Trump said that he does not plan to run for the highest political office in the United States for the third time.
