Aliyev And Pashinyan Sign Historic Peace Agreement In Trump's Presence

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a joint declaration on cessation of hostilities at the White House on August 8. This was reported by Reuters.
"We have finally succeeded in establishing peace. Armenia and Azerbaijan pledge to permanently cease all hostilities, open trade, travel and diplomatic relations, and respect each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity." - U.S. President Donald Trump, who was present at the signing, said.

The United States also signed bilateral agreements with both countries to expand cooperation in energy, trade and technology, including AI.
"We are also lifting restrictions on defense cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States. This is very important," Trump added.
