Republicans And Democrats Call On Trump To Respond To Drone Attack On Poland

U.S. politicians have called Russia's actions an "act of war."

Against the backdrop of the Russian drone attack, which Poland had to repel for the first time on the night of September 10, congressmen from the Republican and Democratic parties of the United States are calling on U.S. President Donald Trump to respond to the unprecedented violation of the airspace of a NATO member country, writes New Voice.

In particular, U.S. Republican Congressman Joe Wilson explicitly called the drone attack on Poland an "act of war."

"Russia is attacking Poland, a NATO ally, with Iranian drones less than a week after President Trump hosted President [Poland] Nawrocki at the White House. "This is an act of war, and we are grateful to our NATO allies for their swift response to the continued unprovoked aggression of war criminal Putin against free and productive countries," Wilson wrote in X.

He called on Trump to "respond with mandatory sanctions that will bankrupt the Russian war machine and arm Ukraine with weapons capable of striking Russia.

In addition, Democratic Senator Dick Durbin said that "repeated violations of NATO airspace by Russian drones are a clear warning that Vladimir Putin is testing our resolve to defend Poland and the Baltic states."

"In the wake of the carnage Putin continues to inflict in Ukraine, these incursions cannot be ignored," Durbin emphasized.
