What Putin And Lukashenko Are Up To

We need a tough response.

Since the war now is primarily a drone war, they are, of course, practicing a strike on a NATO country (in this case, Poland) with long-range attack drones, as well as monitoring the reaction to this attack.

They are watching how quickly the Poles will detect these drones (and whether they will detect them at all), what forces and means they will send to intercept them, and - most importantly - whether the Polish air defense will be able to destroy these drones in the air before they conditionally hit the target.

And one more important point: Moscow is checking how the NATO country and the alliance as a whole reacts to a direct actual violation of its borders by Russian military equipment. (At the moment the reaction is, to put it bluntly, pathetic).

Because of the ongoing war against Ukraine, the Russian Federation has an ironclad excuse: "we accidentally flew in" or even better: "it was the Ukrainians who threw our drones off course with their REB and sent them to Lublin."

It would be a shame not to take this opportunity to tickle Putin-hating greyhound Poles with absolute impunity, who, at most, will express "deep concern" when it comes to the real case.

If the Poles had the resolve, Warsaw could now announce that after the events of the night of September 10 it is declaring a "no-fly zone" over Galicia and Volynia, in which it will shoot down all drones and missiles flying towards Poland. Or even declare nothing, and just start shooting them down.

That would be a perfectly adequate response.
