Either version of the drone attack on Poland is not in Lukashenko's favor.
Belarusian political scientist Alexander Klaskovsky writes for "Pozirka" about the invasion of 19 Russian drones into Poland on September 10:
- We can say this for sure: whether the ruler of Belarus was complicit in this night attack or he was not even asked - any of these versions is not in favor of Lukashenko.
In the first case, he really appears to be a hundred percent puppet of Putin. After all, Lukashenko is in a particularly bad time to provoke Poles and other NATO members. The dialog with Washington has just started, Donald Trump himself called, the hope of getting rid of the noose of sanctions is glimmering, etc. And then one has to become a pawn in the Kremlin's game with fire.
In the second case, if Putin fired a bullet at Poland without asking, over the head of an ally (both figuratively and literally), Lukashenko does not look like a serious political subject either. It turns out that "big brother" doesn't give him a dime's worth.
And it will be very bad if the Kremlin, having brought its nukes and "Oreshnik" to Belarus, at some point wants to fire these weapons, which are much more terrible than drones, from the Belarusian territory at NATO supporters. Then no Ants will save from a brutal retaliation.
