America firmly reaffirms its commitment to allied support for Poland.

The head of the International Policy Bureau of the Polish Presidential Chancellery, Marcin Przydacz, spoke about Karol Nawrocki's conversation with his American counterpart Donald Trump and the promise of an increased presence of US forces in the country.

It was reported by PAP.

Przydacz said that Trump's conversation with Nawrocki was very good. "President Nowrocki explained in detail what exactly happened in Poland (...) In response, he heard firm assurances from the American side about allied solidarity," he said.

Pshidach said Trump emphasized that the US supports Poland in defending its territory. "America firmly reaffirms its commitment to allied support for Poland. In that sense, President Trump said: "We are with Poland, we are bound by the alliance, and Poles, don't be afraid of anything, if something threatens your security, you have to react," he reported.

Przydacz said Trump also praised Polish soldiers' abilities, their reaction and their decision to shoot down Russian drones. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk earlier said the military had provisionally counted 19 violations of the country's airspace. Media unofficially said there were more than 20 UAVs. According to Tusk, the Polish military, with the help of Dutch colleagues, shot down four drones.

Przydacz also said there was room for more U.S. troops in Poland, but that this required concrete action, in particular involving the defense and foreign ministries.

"Donald Trump also talked about the possibility of increasing the American military presence in Poland," Przydacz said.

When asked whether words condemning Putin came out of Trump's mouth, Przydacz said that the entire conversation was conducted in secret, so he cannot convey it in detail. He added that both sides pointed to Vladimir Putin's position as aggressive.
