Drones attacked the capital and regions of the Russian Federation en masse.
On the night of September 12, a number of Russian regions were again attacked by unknown drones. Russians complained of explosions, and in one of the cities there was probably a fire.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Russian Telegram channels.
The first reports of an attack by unknown drones appeared at about 22:40 Kiev time. In particular, the SHOT channel wrote that at least five explosions went off over Smolensk.
"Local residents told SHOT that five to eight explosions were heard in the southern part of the city. The loud sounds set off car alarms, and flashes were seen in the sky," the publication said.
Simultaneously, footage of the fire began circulating on some public relations sites. According to eyewitnesses in the video, drones attacked a Lukoil gas station.
In addition, some Telegram channels citing OSINT publiki say that at least two drones allegedly hit the Kardymovo oil depot.
There has been no official comment and it is not known exactly which facilities were attacked.
In addition, Russians have complained that they heard drone sounds in the Kursk and Bryansk regions. Whether there were incidents there is still unclear.
From the latter it is known that the explosions took place in the Moscow region. Residents of the Odintsovo district told SHOT that they heard several explosions starting at 01:15am. In addition, residents of Naro-Fominsk near Moscow wrote about the explosions.
In the meantime, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin reported that air defense forces allegedly shot down 7 unknown drones. According to him, emergency services specialists are working at the site where the debris fell.
