SBU Drones Hit Key Russian Export Hub: Details

Oil shipments have been suspended.

SBU drones have hit Primorsk, the largest oil-loading port of the Russian Federation in the Baltic Sea. Fires broke out in the port and at the pumping station, oil shipment has been suspended.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to sources in the SBU.

This night drones of the Security Service of Ukraine struck the largest Russian oil loading port on the Baltic Sea, which is the terminus of the Baltic pipeline system.

"Primorsk" is a key hub for loading the "shadow fleet", using which the Russian Federation has been using to load the "shadow fleet". - is a key hub for loading the "shadow fleet" with which Russia circumvents international sanctions and sells oil on foreign markets. About 60 million tons of oil passes through the port annually, which brings Russia about $15 billion," said the interlocutor of the publication.

It is reported that as a result of a successful attack by SBU drones, fires broke out on one of the vessels in the port and at the pumping station, oil shipment was suspended.

The estimated daily losses of the Russian budget from the termination of exports may be up to $41 million.

The SBU also hit a number of Russian oil pumping stations:

- "NPS-3",

- NPS "Andreapol",

- "NPS-7".

They are known to be key elements of the trunk pipeline system that supplies crude oil to the port-terminal "Ust-Luga".

"The SBU was the first to systematically introduce so-called drone sanctions against the Russian oil industry. They cut off the flow of petrodollars to the aggressor's budget. And since the Russian economy is kept on oil - each such "clap" hits their ability to fight against our state. These sanctions will continue until there is a just peace in Ukraine," an informed source in the SBU said.
