The 19th package of new restrictions for the Russian Federation is also almost ready.
The European Union is leaving in place for another six months the sanctions against Russia that were imposed against the country over its full-scale military invasion of Ukraine, the EU's diplomatic chief Kaja Kallas said in a social media X.
-"We have just extended our sanctions against Russia," her note said.
In addition, Kallas said the European Union has almost finalized the 19th package of restrictions against the aggressor country.
She said the package included "additional restrictions on Russian oil sales, shady oil tankers and banks."
"We will continue to cut off Putin's war on money," Callas said.
It is noteworthy that for sanctions against Russia to be extended every 6 months, all 27 member countries need to support the decision.
We just extended our sanctions on Russia.
At the same time, we are finalizing work on the 19th package - looking into additional curbs on Russian oil sales, shadow oil tankers, and banks.
We'll keep choking off the cash for Putin's war.
