The European Commission on Wednesday, September 17, is preparing to present the 19th package of sanctions against Russia.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Devdiscourse.

It is noted that the new package of sanctions aims to increase pressure on Russia in response to a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

The sanctions will target Russia's "shadow" navy, banking system and additional restrictions on Russian oil sales.

The Commission is also considering blacklisting some banks from two Central Asian countries as well as independent refineries in China to further isolate Russia economically.
