NATO Secretary General Very Pleased With US And Trump's Response To Russian Drone Incursion Into Poland
Mark Rutte

In the wake of the Russian attack, the U.S. president made several statements.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said he was pleased with the U.S. response to the intrusion of Russian drones into Polish airspace on the night of September 10.

Rutte said this on September 12 at a joint press conference with General Alexus Hrynkiewicz, supreme commander of NATO's Joint Force Europe.

The video was published on the YouTube channel NATO News.

After the Russian attack, the US president made several statements. On Sept. 10, for example, he first commented on it on Truth Social, writing the post, "What happened, why is Russia violating Polish airspace with drones? Well, here we go!"

The next day, Trump suggested that drones from the aggressor country Russian Federation might have flown into Poland by accident.

On September 12, Trump had already said that illegitimate Russian President Vladimir Putin "should not have gotten anywhere near Poland."

"I think the U.S. response has been very clear, both from the American president and from the ambassador here. It is quite clear that we are all united on this issue. America's commitment to NATO is unwavering in every sense, there's no doubt about that. So I was very pleased with the US response, and I don't divulge every phone conversation, every discussion I had," Rutte commented.

He noted that press reports about Polish President Karol Nawrocki's phone conversation with Trump could be seen. Rutte added that he had also spoken to the Polish president.

"I think it was a very good phone conversation that obviously built on the excellent relationship that developed between the two of them last week during the new Polish president's visit to the White House. So I am absolutely satisfied in that respect," the NATO secretary general emphasized.

Speaking after Rutte, Hrynkiewicz said that U.S. kinetic capabilities were not involved in the operation to shoot down Russian drones in Poland.

"It has to do with the rotation of forces that we have for different missions in the Alliance, and also just a matter of schedule," the supreme commander of NATO's Joint Forces in Europe pointed out.
