The captured Russians told how they tried to enter Kupyansk through the pipe.
The defensive operation in the Kupyansk direction continues, the personnel of the army of the aggressor country of the Russian Federation are being captured.
On Sunday, September 14, this was reported in the 10th Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, publishing footage from this section of the front and excerpts of interviews of captured occupants, who, in particular, told how they used the pipeline to move to Kupyansk.
"Not far from us there was a pipe just. A gas pipe. At first we were not allowed there, because the guard was sitting there. And when they started to give us a task, to let us go there, I saw that it was cut, the top cover was removed," - said one of the captured invaders.
According to another occupant, they moved on electric scooters.
"They took us to a briefing. Like they told us how to be in the pipe, how and what to do," the Russian said, adding that they were given diarrhea pills, a liter and a half of water each and were led one by one to the pipe, where there was an electric scooter and a cart tied to it.
When asked if they knew they were going to Kupyansk, the captured occupant said they had a mobile app installed that supports different map formats.
"I when I came out of the pipe, we had AlpineQuest, we had points to go in. There's two nine-story buildings next to a five-story building standing there. Our initial task was to reach these nine-story buildings, five people in each nine-story building to get a foothold," the prisoner says in the video.
The 10th Army Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces emphasized in the description to the video that the exit from the pipeline, which the occupants used to move personnel to Kupyansk, is under fire control of the Ukrainian defenders. The pipeline does not lead directly to the city, the AFU noted.
It is also noted that there are several pipelines in the area of Kupyansk, with three strings of four already damaged and flooded.
"A counter-sabotage operation is being carried out in the city, search and strike actions around the city," the defenders reported.
Fighters of the 10th Army Corps said that since the beginning of the operation, in two weeks, enemy losses amounted to 395 soldiers, of which 288 were irrecoverable. On the approaches to Kupyansk, in the areas of Radkovka and Golubovka, Ukrainian soldiers neutralized only 265 Russians, and in the area of the city itself - another 128.
